The STARR Training Institute provides a wide variety of trainings/workshops to agencies or groups interested in further developing their skills and abilities. The purpose of the training institute is to build skills, increase understanding of issues, strengthen leadership across a diversity of disciplines and communities, offer professional development to people working in the youth and social services field and develop awareness of the relevant issues. 

 Our staff and consultants are skilled trainers with extensive experience in the field of social services and in providing training to New York City agencies.  They come from a variety of backgrounds with various degrees and skills.  Many of our trainers are social workers who have worked in the field for many years.
